"Although I have received advice and coaching
from Mike in the past, this was the first full year of having
a dedicated coach and structured annual plan.
I can't express how happy I was with my training and ultimately
my results for the season. I had a very long season and with
Mike's guidance and experience, I was able to make it through
without burning out and in the process achieved personal best
times in every single race this year culminating with a 4:46
half Ironman on a tough course and a 10:34 at Ironman Florida.
With Mike's help I was able to shave an amazing 1.5 hours off
my previous Ironman best in just one season. Without a doubt,
Mike has the knowledge and dedication to help each of his athletes
identify and achieve their personal goals. "

"In Oct 2001 the Ironman bug struck me. It must have been mid-life crisis. My dental profession is sedentary by definition; with me just a typical old guy (54 then) and little athletic background. I played basketball in HS; did some windsurfing in the 90’s. That’s it... It had been 36 years (since High School) since I had a coach. Then I found MIKE. Could he lead me in one year to the Ironman promise land? YES!
"Mike successfully did it!!! He brought structure; direction; goal formation and attainment; encouragement, knowledge, and focus. Attaining the goal of Ironman completion is complex, detail oriented and everything seems to be measured. Working with Mike, who has gone thru the learning curve and created the databases for interaction, meant online was the only way to go. I needed his personalized approach. Did I meet my goals? YES, and without MIKE, forget it! No injury; my marriage is still intact; I lost 25 lbs; I was able to meet the challenges at work and my family had fun in Florida at the IM in 2002."

"I just finished my last triathlon of the season. I thought as I ran the 5 mile segment of the race that I really needed to thank Mike for his good training - because I was doing the distance with ease. I may be nearly 60, but I feel like a kid to be able to complete a 5 mile run on top of the swim and bike segments of a triathlon. My three months with Mike have been highlighted by excellent communication, encouragement and a balanced program that has moved me steadily forward in becoming this new creature: an endurance athlete."

Mike,
It's been quite a road... almost 18 years of endless training (especially for you), competition, comradeship, a death of a good friend, uprooting, Ironman, a wedding... kids? Anyway... you've stayed the course and I have no doubt that you always will. It took years of hearing your voice on the other end of the line (and that was only the beginning) to get me back into doing what I've always loved. It's not easy to stay the course. Our good friend John Lennon once said, "Life happens while you're busy making other plans". I've learned that once again...Mike does what he loves to do... work with people who are busy making other plans... and get them in the best shape - for life. D4 For "Dedication" I say. So when you're ready to make some shit happen in your life... Mike's your man!

"After 2 years of trying to train
for Duathlons on my own with the help of a few books, websites
and a heart rate monitor, I decided to make the commitment
to finding the highest quality coach and training program.
I needed a program that works for me as an individual athlete
and my individual goals. Mike's schedules and communication
with email is perfect for my busy schedule. Mike has gone
above and beyond dedication to push me past my limits and
help me to achieve my goals. I'm already looking forward to
next season!"
