Turning Off-Season into On-Season

Off season is usually approached by two kinds of triathletes. The sit and wait until the snow melts to begin training types, or the embrace the cold and take a leap forward in fitness types athlete. This transitional period is your key to the upcoming season and how well you will enter it. What can you do to improve your chances of getting faster this winter? Cross training has been around for generations of athletes. If you live in colder climates that get a lot of snow in the winter months, it is wise to embrace those conditions after a brief break from heavy training.

Racing and Training Apparel for Women: How do we decide?

When sat down to write this article I ran to my closet and started rummaging through my tri gear to see what kind of experienced recommendations I could share with all of you. Interestingly enough I found a mixed variety of tri clothing, including some men’s tri clothing. I’ve made purchases based on recommendations by other women, some items were purchased because I liked the look (admit it, we all do it!!) and some of the men’s items were purchased because I could not find the women’s version.
