Thoughts Happy New Year Everyone! The
purpose of this e-letter is two-
fold. First I would like
to share information on training/racing
techniques
that I have developed in my fifteen years of
racing/coaching. If you think
there is something valuable in here
that others
could use, please pass it on. If there is something that
you would like to see in here, send me an email. I
have
developed a large network of great resources and I if I
don’t
have the answer, I will know someone who
does. Secondly, this
e-letter will be my
personal space to brag about the athletes I
coach
and give them the praise they deserve—after all—it’s the
athlete that does the hard work.
Train Smart, Coach
Mike “Only those who risk going too far, can
find out how far one can go.” - T.S.
Eliot D3 Athletes in the
News Congratulations to Jeff Keil for a
heck of a first marathon – Jeff
ran a 2:43 at the Rock
and Roll Marathon in Phoenix – and the
time difference between his first 13.1
miles and his second 13.1
miles were only seconds.
We can ALL learn something from this
performance.
WAY TO GO JEFF! D3 Multisport is
proud to welcome on board Kelly Carlson as
a
coach! Kelly offers 27 years of
competitive running experience,
along with 6 years of
multi-sport
racing experience culminating with
3
Ironman finishes – 2 in Hawaii -
and
qualifying twice for the Olympic
Trials in the women's marathon.
Her
educational background includes a
master's
degree in sports medicine
and athletic training,
Spinning
Instructor certification, as well as the
cursory personal
training
requirements. For more
information

programs
