Try This: Rear Foot Elevated Split Squat

Rear Foot Elevated Split Squat video

Rear Foot Elevated Split Squat: 1 foot should be elevated, no higher than knee.  Balance on other leg, make sure you are out far enough to lunge.  Front knee will come forward slightly, but not so much that it goes way over the toe.
Lower and lift slowly, keeping hips tucked under, and think of keeping the abs tight and pressed against the spine.
You can add weight to this, but only after you have great stability and full range of motion .
