Issue 103 - April 2011

Dear Athlete,

April is an exciting month for many triathletes. For many it means the first outdoor riding and finally hitting the trails for your long run and for others this is the first month of the race season!!! This edition of the D3 Newsletter will help you get the most out of your training by providing you tips on your spring bike tune-up and how to “run through an injury” using deep water jogging and anti-gravity running. Our training plan this month will help any athlete become stronger on the bike. If cycling is your weak link, check out this month’s plan. Athlete of the month Debbie Ragals has a great story to tell. Check it out! In other D3 news, the C.U. Tri Team had a great victory at the National Championships – B3!! Go BUFFS! Speaking of results, check out what D3 athletes are already doing! P.R.’s are being set in all sorts of races and at all distances, and it’s just April!

Happy Training!

Coach Mike

You might just come out on the other end with the upper hand, improving your form a little – even with a back, leg or foot injury.

But before you buckle up that helmet, now is the time of year to ask yourself a question: what has your bike been doing all winter?
