- Tim Sells: I’ve lost track of how many Tim has done – somewhere around 10 IMs at this point and he shows no signs of slowing down.
- Lindsey Milliken: 2nd triathlon, 1st IM. Great job. Lindsey had some ITB issues resurface at mile 5 of the run and she was forced to walk the last 21.2 miles.
- Mark Dillard: Last PR was 11:4x- on Sunday he improved to 10:06! The guy is now knocking on the door to Kona. Will he answer?
- Ray Solis: Ray’s previous PR was 11:40, and he worked hard in training and executed his race strategy to 10:53 improvement.
- Mike Ball: Mike had a solid day, coming in at 12:48 to be exact!

- Kathryn LeViness: San Diego Marathon 4:04 (pacing a friend) and the NYC Half in 1:54 (under humid conditions).
- Todd Gochman: 2:29:14 at the Mass State Race.
- John Fox: Mill City Triathlon (2:48, Oly PR by 19 minutes!) 3rd in AG.
- Jodi Lammert and Coach Amanda McCracken raced at
Vineman. Jodi finished her first IM in 15:09:55 and Amanda finished Barb’s 2nd AG and 6th female OA.
- Three Rivers Oly saw two D3 athletes. Maureen Kennedy: 2:39.13 and was 4th in her AG. This is an OLY PR for her. Joe Pozsgai: 2:44.29 and was 5th in his AG.
- Cranberry Country Olympic also had two D3 athletes racing. Michael Yenke: 2:17:17, 5th AG and 2 min. faster on the run than last year.
- Bret Fortenberry: 2:31:45, 7 th AG.
- Sean O’Neil: 3 rd OA at the Steamboat Sprint and finished the Park to Park 10 miler 1:07:01 -9th/95 AG; 57/468 OA males.
- Jeremy Allen: finished IM Louisville in 13:05 in 95 degree heat and humidity!
- Rich Kylberg: stepped up and raced 24 Hours of Triathlon finishing 2 nd overall in the solo division. And by solo, Rich took it literally, he didn’t even have a support crew!
- Alan Westman: 11:55:18 (PR for Ironman, goal was 12hrs)!
- Trisha Kelly: 15.12.22 (first time Ironman).
- David Godes: 14:04:52.
- Bret Fortenberry: 12:53:25 (first time Ironman).
Athlete racing News: 08.15.08
- Carrie Wolf yielded a 9 min. improvement on her swim the Brigantine sprint tri and finished with a 1:22.
- Dian Quinn was 5th AG and 10th overall at the Half Vineman Aquabike.
- D3 showed up for the Steelhead 70.3 Tri in Michigan. Joe Pozsgai 5:18:22, Jon von Lackum 7:46, and Jason Young 5:26:44.
- Coach Amy Kuitse qualified for 70.3 Worlds with a 4:43:24, 2nd AG and 59th overall at the Steelhead 1/2 IM.
- Carlos Esperjel finished an Olympic distance race in Mexico with a 2:46.
- Jeffrey Porter earned a PR at the Muncie Half with 5:29. John Von Lackum raced it to finish 6th AG with a 15 min. PR. They even endured the lightning and rain squalls.
- Carrie Wolfe raced a 3:09.32 at the Sunset Oly Tri.
- Maureen Kennedy's time of 51:06 at Steve's 10K Run 10k earned her 1st AG. She also raced the Valpo Sprint and finished 1st AG and 7th overall.
- Melanie Ricci was 4th woman overall at the Steamboat Springs Spring Creek Memorial 9 Mile Trail Run.
- D3 athletes showed up ready to race at the Boulder Peak Olympic Distance. Frank Harney 12 minute improvement over 2007, Rich Kylberg 6 minute improvement over 2007, Dave Sheanin 2:32 while working like a dog the last few weeks, Mike Conroy another one working like a dog dropped 13 minutes from 2007, Mark Dillard goes on vacation and gets faster he improved to 2:23 from 2:30 in 2007, Bill Jones 11 minute improvement and knocking on the door to breaking 3 hours, Ida Jonsen 4th AG, Eric Jonsen 6 minute improvement over 2007 and looking to break 3:00 next season, Beth Merkle 2:50, good job despite recent injuries, Yachia Schuneman 2:54, great race, Pat O'Connor raced on guts, pretty much off the couch.
- D3's colors were blazing at the Vineman Half Ironman in Santa Rosa, CA. Kirk MacDonald finished in 6:00 and had a very strong run of 2:04. He has his sights set on IMWI. John Eliot raced with a 5:08 for his 2nd 1/2 IM. Coach AJ Johnson raced a fast 4:20 and finished 18th Pro.
- At IM Lake Placid coach Amy Kuitse finished with an 11:45 and Julia Purrington with an 11:12 for her first IM.
- The Challenge Roth Iron Distance in Pat Rice finished with a 45 min. PR and a time of 11:39:33. This was Drew Bingham's first IM and he earned a time of 11:37.
Athlete Racing News: 07.15.08
- After two and a half years of dedication and focus Matt Given earned an IM Hawaii spot with a 9:49 at IM Coeur d'Alene. He ran a 3:11 marathon! He was 4th AG and 29th overall.
- The 5430 Sprint was a success for many D3 athletes: John Eliot, Mark Dillard and Rich Kylberg all set PRs. Katheen Steffe was 2nd AG. This was the first sprint distance for Yaicha Schuneman and she finished in the top 20% of her age group. Sean O'Neill had a strong finish with 7th AG & 17th overall. He also raced the Summer Solstice 5k and earned 1st AG and 11th overall with a time of 19:32.
- Carlos Espejel ran a half marathon PR.
- Dean Asher completed his first triathlon.
- Jeff Braaten won his AG at the TriRaider Sprint.
- Johannes Faessler finished his first Ironman at IM Coeur d'Alene.
- Michael Conroy raced strong at Half Iron Boise and set a PR.
- Drew Bingham set a PR at the 5430 Sprint right in the middle of IM training.
- Jeremy Allen had a successful race at the Lake Stevens 1/2 IM.
- Dian Quinn raced her first IM in Coeur d'Alene and finished in 13:00:22.
- Carrie Wolfe raced the Pravin State Park Tri with a time of 1:18:01.
- Maureen Kennedy earned a 4th AG spot at the Johan's Trifest and a 2nd AG and 7th overall spot at the Warsaw Sprint with a time of 1:19:56.
- John von Lackum earned a 5 minute PR at the Johan's Trifest 3:44 and a 4th AG at the Warsaw Sprint 1:52:54.
- Nate Winslow raced to a lucky 13th AG spot at the Warsaw Sprint 1:19:07.
- Jason Young raced strong at the Elkhart Lakes Tri 3:13.
- Dave Sheanin raced the Buffalo Springs Lake 70.3 in 5:16:41 and was 209th overall and 33rd in the AG.
- Tom Gart raced IM Couer d'Alene in 12:13:38. He earned the 20th AG spot and 680th overall.
- Ryan Hillard raced IM Couer d'Alene in 11:44:03. His race put him 479th overall and 67th in his AG .
- Sean Fey raced the Buffalo Creek Xterra in 2:46:09. This time earned him the 3rd AG spot and 32nd overall.
- Jesse Euton finished his first IM at CDA in 12:23:11.
- Lori Trautwine earned 3rd in her age group at the Obeiah Cole Father's Day 10K.
- Jodi Lammert shaved 20 minutes off her run at Buffalo Springs. This was her 2nd 1/2 IM.
- Brett Gilmore finished his first Olympic tri at the Utah Summer Games and earned 4th in his 2024 AG.
- Suz Christy completed her first Olympic tri at the Philadelphia Insurance Triathlon and finished top 50% of her age group.
