What our Athletes are saying...

"I have been running for almost 20 years and have run countless races of various distances. During this time, I had completed one marathon and after that experience, vowed never to do that again. Well, like many of us runners, what you say and what you do after a difficult marathon can be two different things. One thing I realized is that I really was not prepared. Running a marathon, and doing it well, require a lot more than just following a training schedule out of a book. Each one of us is different -- our bodies, our abilities and our goals. And without the help of a personal coach, achieving your best -- and enjoying it -- can be very difficult. That is why I am now working with Coach Michael.
In a very short time, Michael has brought structure to my training. He has helped me correct my form, he has offered a world of experience and technical assistance, and he has customized my entire training plan and has re-worked it over the course of my training to fit my needs and goals. Michael is definitely helping to push me to achieve my potential and does this in a way that makes him easy and fun to work with (and having fun is definitely important!). He is extremely bright and has obviously studied the sport in great detail, but he is also practical and makes the training work for me. Michael is very positive too. He always has a way of motivating others to do their best, whether it's through his inspirational words or just seeing him at work as an amazing athlete. I feel like he has helped me turn a corner, and I have become a more focused and more confident runner as a
I look forward to continuing to work with Coach Michael to achieve my very best (and to crossing the finish line of many marathons with a smile) and can assure you that no matter what your goals are, he will help you do the same."

"I’ve known Michael in a professional and personal capacity since 1996. As such, I’ve been able to watch his transformation from an out-of-shape investment banker to Ironman triathlete and now full time coach. I’m a fairly seasoned triathlete having raced my first triathlon in 1985 and my first Ironman in 1988. When Michael first took up the sport in 2001 I served as an informal coach/adviser/training partner. Having worked in investment banking with Michael for almost a decade, I was well aware of his intelligence and work ethic and was not surprised to see him apply those attributes to his triathlon training. He has truly become a student of the sport applying the same passion and skills that have allowed him to be successful both academically and professionally, to his coaching practice. As the old saying goes, the student becomes the teacher. I now rely on Michael to provide me with the right training plan, the most up to date knowledge of training theory, the right focus, and consistent motivation. I’ve been doing this triathlon thing for quite a while now, but Michael is an invaluable, objective resource who helps me identify blind spots/opportunities for improvement and offers new ideas to prevent my training from becoming too stale, boring or repetitive. I still work long hours and for me it has been critical to have a coach that knows how to get the most out of his athletes in the most efficient way possible. Michael has played a key role in my recent success and I know that he can do the same for you – whatever your skill level and whatever your schedule."
